Pet Day

Friday was Pet Day at E's school. We were able to bring Wilson to share with the class. Of course, I was nervous about how Wilson would do, especially with all the other animals there. (In case you haven't visited us at home, Wilson is our 95lb lab who lives in the house with us. He is 6 years old, but still acts like a puppy in many ways.) E was so proud to show him off to his class! Wilson did behave and the kids loved him. Most of the kids brought their dogs, but there were a few cats, a turtle, some frogs, some fish and someone did bring a pygmy goat. What a fun day!



On a different note, notice how big boy E looks. Gone are the days of appliquéd t-shirts and longalls. He has grown up so fast. Each new age has been wonderful, but Eric and I both get teary-eyed often because he has grown up so much just in the past 6 months. His personality and kind heart bless us so much, and we know that God has great things in store for him and will use him in great ways!

Well, I have been working up to this point. As I try to build my business, getting a website in place was one of my main goals. I look forward to getting more online orders and to see how the business grows. The link to my website is http://www.wonderfullymadeclothing.com/ . As I am learning how the world of children's clothing manufacturing works, I am having to play catch-up. I am working hard on my Fall clothing while at the same time thinking ahead to Spring and working on it as well. As much work as it has been and as busy as it is keeping me, I have loved it all and feel so blessed to be doing this!!

Sewing, sewing, sewing!

Well, I have not blogged in a while. We were out of town some and I have been busy sewing. I do have a website and hope to have it more up to date by the end of the week. These new things I have done have been so much fun! I have especially loved sewing the girly ones. I would love to know what you think, and would love to make something for your child!

                              

Beach Fun!

We were blessed to be able to make two trips to the beach in August. One trip was with family and the last one was with Eric for work. We had a blast both times and can say that we weathered tropical storm Claudette! (We were in Orange Beach, so it was actually no big deal.) Here are some pics from the trips. We had great weather most of the time and both boys had a blast!

We went to Adventure Island one evening. Eric, Darrell, Jonathan, myself and E did the bumper boats. The ones at this place have sprayers on them. Needless to say, we were all soaking wet and it was a very cold ride home!

Oak Mountain Fun

Ok, I promise I am not going to blog every single little thing that we do. Since I am still practicing how to do things on here, I needed some reasons to play around with things.

We did spend some time Sunday afternoon at Oak Mountain State Park. The boys did one of their favorite things...they played in the dirt! Notice their clothing. I anticipated that this would happen, so they do look a little like ragamuffins. We grilled burgers for dinner and drove to the top of the mountain. We saw one deer and E was thrilled!

Saturday we went to Guntersville to visit family. We spent most of the day on the boat with Uncle Josh and Aunt Danielle. We cruised Lake Guntersville for most of the day and had such a good time. Both boys took naps and got to "drive" the boat! Thanks so much for the fun day Uncle Josh and Aunt Danielle!

Well, since I don't do the facebook thing, someone recently introduced me to the world of blogging. I thought this would be a great way for all of our friends and family, especially those we don't get to see all the time, to keep up with our little world. I will try to be diligent about updating and adding interesting things. Off we go!
