I Know, I Know, I Know ...

Well I am eating my words a little bit because several months ago, I vocalized my intentions of being a good little blogger and keeping our blog up to date. Maybe if I had not put that in writing, I could have followed through a little better. Of course, life has been a whirlwind the past several months. I will not use that as an excuse because any family with small children (or children of any age) is right there with me! Family and friends, I am so sorry for the delay in seeing many of these pictures and memories of our life over the past few months-especially for those of you out of town who we do not get to see very often. I am not going to do a thorough catch up for the sake of time, but I will list some of the main things that have gone on since February. We celebrated our nephew Fisher's 4th birthday at Chuck E Cheese. Koodos to them because they put on a great party and make it really special for the kids. Evan spent a full week at soccer camp during Spring Break. He loved it even with staying busy for a full 7 hours each day! We also celebrated his 6th birthday with a party at the bowling alley. That was another fabulous party! The kids loved it and it was very easy on us parents. In April, we started baseball season. Evan's team was called the Stealers. He had a very fun season and went on to make the Allstar Team (more about that in a bit). Whitaker went on his first official field trip at school. They visited Old Baker Farm and Daddy was able to go on that one with him. Mid April, Eric and I were able to take a trip to Key West to celebrate our 11th anniversary. May 20th was our 11th anniversary. We had a great time and experienced some new things. Evan graduated from Kindergarten and Whitaker finished his Pre-Three Year at Westwood Baptist. The day of graduation was also the day of their end of the year program. They performed "Jesus is My Superhero." It was too cute and the boys loved the theme!

Wow. How fast the past four years have gone. This was Evan's first day of Mother's Day Out at Westwood Baptist in August of 2007.

At the end of May, we made our annual beach trip with our precious friends from Texas. The weather was great and the kids loved every minute of it!

And finally, June-so far-has been all about baseball. This was our first time to do Allstars. It has been quite a ride, but it has been such a great experience for Evan, and he has learned so much. We were blessed to be on a great team with awesome coaches. Tomorrow will be our last day of games. Our games for tonight were rained out so we will be playing two games for sure, possibly four games depending on the outcomes of each game. What a day to look forward to! :) With that, I should go to bed!!
