First Beach of the Season!

We were able to go to Orange Beach last week with our good friends from Texas, Laura and Christian. It was so good seeing them and their girls. Their girls are 5 and 2 just like our boys. We had a blast. The weather was perfect and there was no oil!

Martha (the kids call her YaYa) joined us from Texas to help be an extra pair of hands and to watch the kids so the adults could go to dinner. If you have taken kids to a restaurant at the beach, you know how crazy it is! The kids love her and she was such a blessing.

What a cutie!

My sweet beach blonde #2. He loves the sand!!

They are two peas in a pod. They met back up after two years of not seeing each other and you never would have known it. One of their favorite things to do was look for clams in the sand after the waves washed back out. We collected hundreds of them. I could kick myself for not taking a picture of all the ones we found that were in our bucket. They began exploring the bucket with their little legs (or whatever they are) that come out of the shell. The kids thought it was cool, but also a little creepy!

We are so thankful for that move to Texas that left us with a great friendship and lots of memories already made and many more to come!
