2010 A Review of The Past 6 Months and Blog Update!!

In June, our sweet cousin Audra married her sweetheart, Isaac. We all went up to Illinois for the wedding, and it was a very special event. It was one of the sweetest weddings I have ever been to!
Me and my handsome hubby
Isaac and Audra. This photo does not do them justice, but somehow this is the only picture I had of them on my camera!
Aunt Angie & Uncle Johnny (parents of the bride) and Randy & Darrell
Welcome Baby Jackson Henry Whitley! As has been my fashion this year :(, I did not blog much during the first of 2010. We had a precious addition to our family then. My sister Natalie had her first child.I will introduce him now. Jackson was born in February and my has he grown and developed since then!!
Evan is a proud cousin
He will be a year old soon, but the little guy actually started walking when he was 8 months old. He is a busy boy!

Don't you just love his sweet little head? It is so soft and feels like peach fuzz.

The proud momma and her little man.

For Our boys, there is almost nothing better during the summer than the sound of the ice cream truck coming down the street! And by the way, those ice cream trucks are proud of their ice cream these days. Gone are the days when you can get something for 50 cents!!

4th OF JULY with the Berrys!! One of our other favorite things to do during the summer, besides going to the beach, is hanging with the Berrys at Lay Lake. This past 4th was full of time boating, swimming, sunning, fishing and fireworks!!

SanDestin with the family. At the end of July we went with Eric's parents and sister's family to SanDestin. We had such a great time not only at the beach but also at the shops, restaurants, arcades and while enjoying R&R time at the cottage.

We were concerned that there would be oil, but there was none. There was some yucky green algea pretty thick in the water, but it was manageable and the water was still gorgeous.

Water bumper boat fun! They were all soaked. There is no mercy when Eric is at one of the wheels!!
Our Big Kindergartener!! Evan has grown up right before my eyes and I cannot begin to tell you how fast the first five years of his life have flown by. He has matured so much from 5 to almost 6. All the hard work we have put into training his little heart and being consistent with loving discipline is really paying off. He is definately still all boy, but a respectful, kind little boy who already loves the Lord so much. He blesses our hearts so much every day.
Evan and his sweet Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Marcia, at meet the teacher.

Evan getting out of the car on the first day of school.

Whitaker also started school the week that Evan did. He is in pre-three kindergarten this year, and his teacher Mrs. Michelle is one of our favorites. Evan also had her at the same age. He has loved this school year with "mis chelle."
During the month of August, Whitaker also had his first visit to the Dentist, Dr. Lauri. She is great with kids and Evan has always enjoyed going to the dentist, even when he was Whitaker's age. Whitaker...not so much!! Needless to say I did not get a lot of great pictures. He did not cooperate very much, but we did survive his first time. I pray it goes better next time.

Labor Day Weekend we joined with Eric's parents, Darrell and Randy (Mimi and Papaw), and visited Chattanooga, TN. It was a perfect weekend for it. The boys really enjoyed the aquarium and rock city. They also enjoyed playing outside at Mimi and Papaw's house.

Evan tried a new sport this Fall...Soccer. He loved it and excelled in it!! What an amazing first experience he had. He was on a great team, and they actually won the championship for their age bracket in the city!!

Fall Festivities! During October, we visited the pumpkin patch in Hayden, AL with Aunt Natalie, Uncle James, Jackson, Aunt Danielle, and Uncle Josh. The boys also had their harvest festival at school and dressed up for trick-or-treating.

I was not a very prepared Mommy the day of the pumpkin patch. My camera battery died only a short while after we got there, so I did not get a lot of great pictures---none at the actual pumpkin patch. Here are a few I did get.

This was the first time Evan or Whitaker rode a horse. They loved it!!

My little monkey and super hero!

I am an aunt again! My sweet sister, Danielle, had her first child in November. Little Addison is the first female grandchild on any side of my family. Here is a little about that:

Here we all are waiting to find out if its a boy or girl!

The night that Danielle's water broke.

Sweet Addison came the next day. She is so precious!

This is what Jackson thought about it all!!

So cute! I could just grab those little cheeks and lips!!
November Holiday Time! This is one of my favorite times of the year. We celebrate Thanksgiving and begin decorating for Christmas. I love when the house feels warm and you look around and see all the pretty lights and sweet memories of previous years in the Christmas decorations! For Thanksgiving, we made it to each side of the family. For some reason, I did not take any pics at my Aunt Lynda's when we celebrated with my Dad's side of the family. I must be better about that! We also had family pictures made the weekend after Thanksgiving on Morris Ave in downtown Birmingham.
Whitaker decorating his tree. He still loves to touch all the ornaments (a little too much sometimes)!

Evan decorating his tree. He is so grown up now, he barely needs our help when decorating his tree.

Thanksgiving at the Oney house.

Thanksgiving at the Bourne house always involves rough play with all the cousins. These two had a blast tackling each other to the ground over and over.

Mr Football. Brady has grown into such a handsome, respectful young man with so many talents and areas where he excells! We are so proud to be his aunt and uncle.

December Days. December flew by for us this year! We did have time for Christmas candy, caroling, Christmas cookies and seeing lots of lights. For Christmas we got together will all sides of our families and attended the Christmas Eve service at church. Once again, I have no pictures when we got together with Mom's side of the family. I told you I needed to get better about that! There's always 2011 to do better!

Christmas with the Floyd family.

This is a fun Christmas with Jackson! He is at a perfect age to enjoy his toys and the boxes even more!

Evan was thrilled to get a drum set!

Looking back at 2010...

-Eric started a new job and now works from home and travels some. What a blessing! He amazes me with all that he accomplishes, and the way he keeps up with all the things he has going on at once while handling them seamlessly. He is my Psalm 112 man!
-We painted lots of rooms around the house!
-Our Auburn Tigers had a perfect season and went on to win the SEC and National Championship! YEAH!!
-The baby things have been put away (at least for a little while). Whitaker grew up so much this year and moved out of his baby bed. Looking ahead to 2011...potty training!
-Evan started Kindergarten and is learning so much! He is reading and LOVES to write! It makes Mommy's heart so happy!
-I started running and completed the Vulcan 10K and ran the whole thing! Looking ahead to 2011...the Mercedes Half Marathon.
