Well, this is a week of firsts again for our little W. For the past two weeks, he has been very adventurous and has been climbing out of his baby bed. Along with that, he comes down the full flight of stairs by himself and surprises us at various times of the morning or day (depending on nap or bed time). This, of course, has concerned Eric and me. As hard as it was to do, because he seems like he is growing out of baby to big boy way faster than E did, we decided that we needed to get him a bed. I was blessed to find a great deal on a twin mattress and a precious little twin bed. The arrival of the new bed will bring about many changes to his room and we have so far only gotten to the bed. Soon, he will have bedding that actually matches his room and more furniture to accommodate his new phase of life.(Although, Nanna, I know you recognize the blanket, and he was very excited to have it on his bed tonight!)

He climbed right up in his bed, got under the covers, got comfortable on his pillow and was ready for his story.

He is so proud!Oh...another major first that I forgot to mention earlier is that he went to bed without his paci. For the past 6 months he has only gotten it at bed time. Since his routine was changing, we decided to just happen to leave that part out of his new routine. He never mentioned it and, as of this minute, has been in bed without it for two hours. So, we will see.... (fingers crossed)!!

This has nothing to do with the new bed, but thought it was so cute, I had to share. While Eric and I finished up getting the bed ready, the boys were working on this. They love to line the cars up and make "dealerships and parking lots." This shows there are some things they can actually work together on!
